Entertainment is closer than you think

Sometimes you think that to find some quality entertainment option you have to go to other places. Yes, it is a lot of fun to go to the movies, go to the theater, watch dance performances from great companies, travel, watch musicals and all. Sometimes you just don’t have the time or money to go around doing everything you feel like.

For a college student it is hard to go out and spend money on “superficial” things, such as movies and outside performance, but you really don’t have to go so far. We have really great performances at Lindenwood. Our theater department is currently working on two productions, the musical Anything Goes, February 25th,26th and 27th and March 4th,5th and 6th in the Bezemes Family Theater. We are also working on the Shakespearian play Twelfth night that will be performed in the Emerson Black Box Theater on February 18th, 19th and the 20th. There are a lot of talented students here, and as students or faculty/staff here you get two free tickets for our student shows. We also have a very good dance program. This semester the Spring Dance Concert is choreographed only by students, including myself. I believe this Dance Concert will be really good, we also have a lot of talented dancers and choreographers. Besides these programs Lindenwood has a three time National Champion Dance Team, Lion Line is present in most of our big sporting events, and they never fail to amaze me and have the audience clapping excitingly.
